Early Christmas Shopping at Dench Designs

Can you believe another year has passed since we saw turkeys and Santas? Well, it is time again to go shopping for decorations for your regions and your homes, and gifts of course. I have started collecting landmarks for places I like to shop and recommend. Before we get into trees I had a notice today that one of my favorites, always first place to write about has not only Christmas Shop open but has added a Thanksgiving shop too so I took a run over. This is Dench Designs.

There are great Thanksgiving tables ready for dinner and some lovely fireplaces with the holiday décor.

If you would like to honor the Pilgrims by adding them they are waiting for you. Some cute smaller décor is available and I love the Happy Thanksgiving banner for the outside of your home. Go Look! ( Good Prices too)

After that visit I set out to check out the wonderful Christmas store that is always set up at on the Rookery with great bargains and items for everyone. When landing you will see all sorts of outside scenes. I always look for the Skating Santas and other figures on the ice. Stop in the little cottage in the corner before you dive in the huge shop.

Inside the shop all sorts of scenes await. The first floor is loaded with different déco.

 

The second floor is great for those looking for bargains. That is where you will find the gifts and gifts for non members and members. I recommend joining this group for all the benefits , like gifts and discounts on everything in the regular store and special setups too. I checked out the Bar and had a glass of wine with Santa. Need a band for decoration? Look there. Animesh greeters, dancers, are everywhere.

I love the wearable dancing companions . They have a wonderful AO that works for any kind of music. You can try the dances by just hopping on the demonstration dancers. Try them. The bargain corner always has little items you would love to get for 5L . Look all around for more big bargains on the walls. I love those little elves, gnomes and the mice that sing by the outdoor Lantern. Check them out along with the myriad of items on both floors. Get going on your early shopping. This month goes quickly and we need to be ready by December 1!.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Saturday I was so happy to learn that DJ Frannie has set up her marvelous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade again this year. 

 

Due to real-life issues it is not in New York City as usual but is way out in Oregon on tour! In case you can’t get to the Macy parade, it will be followed by the spectacular Christmas parade too! I am so glad. There are about 70 floats and balloons that are so much fun .

The owners of the regions are   Emma Aduviri and Lukas Aduviri  Dragon Knight, Emma Aduviri and Bella Veliz are the Estate Managers. They all invited Frannie DJ to bring her  parades here .

All her floats are going down the street as usual. Not only can you stand and watch but hop on the float and become part of the fun. Turn off your music to hear the parade music and have a great time! Here is the beginning of the parade where you can hop on a float and ride all the way to the end and then come back and start over ! Bring your friends.

I took a tour of this region while I was there and found so much to explore. This is the modern north west. There are delightful homes, well paved and maintained roads, and even a McDonalds and other food cafes. I saw a great fire department with fire engines at the ready.

Up above on the mountain there is a delightful skating area where you may like to go after watching the parade! I understand there are mountain caves, horseback trails, and role play possibilities in inexpensive homes. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Well,no sooner is one holiday gone than it is time for another. Thanksgiving is at the end of the month of November but Dj Frannie always gets her parades going so you can enjoy them for a full month or more. The Macy's Parade is famous in New York City for the marvelous floats that go down 5th Avenue not only on the ground but in the air. People go to the city just to see the parade on Thanksgiving Day. Experience the excitement and fun on Far Island where New York City awaits you. 

Walk outside from the entry and turn to 5th Avenue where you will find people standing to witness the spectacle. The floats will come down the street . I find it better to walk up the street to the area of the  boarding zone .  

Check out each float and pick the ones you want to ride and jump on. Some will give you accessories to wear . Look up to the sky too. Hop on some of those to try.  
 

All the floats are animated with charming dances that fit its theme. It is all very festive and gets you in the mood.

Halfway down the street, enter Macy’s store through the green curtain and who is there?  Santa is waiting to hear your wishes for Christmas.

After you see all the wonderful floats walk around the corner to Rockefeller Center and see the giant Christmas tree at the ice skating rink. In NYC the tree lighting is another big deal with live entertainment  and that will be on November 29.

And so the season begins again for a wonderful Christmas Holiday and winter season. So many fun activities with snow and ice and decor in Second Life, it is one of my favorite seasons here.
